RV Prep for Spring
There is no better way to enjoy the spring and summer seasons than packing up your RV for a road trip with your friends and family. When getting ready for your next trip in the warmer weather, make sure to keep these tips to get your RV ready for the road.
- If you took the battery out of your motorhome, put it back where it goes. Check for any corrosion, and clean all the connections to ensure that they are strong. If you have not replaced your battery in a while, it may be time to get a new one to ensure that your RV keeps running strong.
- Hook up the propane system, and check for leaks in the connections and hoses. If you smell any propane, chances are you have a leak. Just make sure to keep all open flames away when you are checking for leaks.
- If you put antifreeze in your water system during the winter, clean it out by adding 1 cup of bleach into the complete water system, and then flushing it thoroughly. While you are flushing the system, it is also the perfect time to look for any leaks in the tanks and water lines.
- Look for any cracks or leaks around the seals in your RV, including the windows, doors, and vents on the roof. Seal up any cracks that you find to ensure that spring showers do not leak water into your RV while you are on vacation.
